Director Aditya Dhar, known for directing the film “Uri: The Surgical Strike,” has crafted another film based on true events titled “Article 370.” The public is well aware of the events surrounding the removal of Article 370 from Jammu and Kashmir.

However, this film delves into the preparations made before the revocation of this article. It is based on the top-secret decisions of the Prime Minister’s Office to annul Article 370 and declare both Jammu-Kashmir and Ladakh as union territories.

The story of the film begins with a secret agent, Juni Haksar, who discovers the location of youth commander Burhan Wani of a terrorist organization and eliminates him in a confrontation.

This incident sparks unrest and stone-pelting in Kashmir, leading to Juni Haksar being transferred to Delhi, considering him responsible.

As the government moves towards revoking Article 370, PMO Secretary Rajeshwari Swaminathan forms a team and appoints Juni Haksar to lead the NIA operation in Kashmir.

Juni Haksar’s journey to maintain peace and unity in the valley faces obstacles created by corrupt local leaders and extremists.

The film is divided into six chapters, starting with the story of the youth commander of a terrorist organization, Burhan Wani. After his death in 2016, there were several protests and stone-pelting incidents in the valley, prompting PMO Secretary Rajeshwari Swaminathan to take action.

The story progresses to the time when President’s rule is imposed in the state. Even then, the situation does not change much, and in 2019, the Pulwama terrorist attack occurs, prompting the central government to take action and make a significant decision for Jammu and Kashmir.

The film sheds light on how the central government examined the constitution of Jammu-Kashmir before revoking Article 370 and identified the flaws that could assist in its annulment.

Crucial errors were discovered from documents obtained from an old government library dating back to 1954, 1958, and 1965, which could have facilitated the early revocation of Article 370 from Jammu-Kashmir. Aditya Dhar, along with Monal Thakur, has penned the story of this film.

Director Aditya Suhas Jambhale has successfully presented the sentiments of patriotism on screen through the film’s story.
