Story line

Four women – Sky (Fatima), Mahi (Ratna Pathak Shah), Usma ( Dia Mirza) & Manjari (Sanjana Sanghi) embark on a road trip to Khardung-La Pass, the highest motorable point in Leh. Each one has their own reasons for going, but the trip turns out to be a journey of self-discovery.

Opinion

It is an old premise, but writing by Parijat Joshi & Tarun Dudeja wins over the monotony by bringing in relatable emotions. This narrative works at many levels. Be it the desire of an elderly Mahi or biking influencer SKY’s agony against the wrath on social media. Likewise, Usma’s silence in wedded life so is Manjari’s demure self in accepting her future husband without any questions in respect of her single mother. The cinematography is brilliant. Shot across the actual locations from Delhi to Leh, the landscape of the film is pleasing and fresh. The background score, too, works well.

However, a little more drama could have made this a moving tale of womanhood and its victory.
